A Comprehensive Guide to Get Started with Paleo Diet

When it comes to diet, the Paleo Diet is not a diet that is very popular. But does this mean that everyone needs to avoid it?

Although many people have heard of low-carb diets, they are often scared away by the idea of following such a diet and cutting out many of the things that make up a healthy diet. For example, some people find Paleo difficult to follow, since their diet is very limited in carbohydrates. But if you think about it, cutting out some things that make up a healthy diet can actually make your body healthier!

So how do you know if you need to take on this diet? As far as I’m concerned, anybody who is not working towards a healthy lifestyle should start by eating more healthy foods. But just how healthy should you be eating? I have some advice for you:

What kind of food should you eat? Well, let’s start with the basics. You should eat plenty of fresh, organic foods. In fact, I would go so far as to say that you should completely avoid any processed foods containing sugar. This doesn’t mean that you can’t have low-carb pizza or low-carb cakes – far from it!

Whole grains are important. You should try to eat lots of them, both at meals and before bed. This means that you should be adding them to all kinds of foods – not just Paleo foods.

Eat more vegetables. A diet like Paleo means that you should be eating a lot of vegetables, especially those that are high in fiber and antioxidants. The Paleo Diet recommends a lot of fresh vegetables like spinach, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, and kale.

Eat a lot of fruit. There are plenty of fruits in Paleo, but you want to make sure that you get plenty of berries, apples, grapes, citrus fruits, and other types of fruits that are high in antioxidants.

Eat lean meat. During the Paleolithic era (4200BC), wild game was the main source of protein. You should be eating meats that are still raw, like chicken, fish, and pork.

Don’t skip breakfast. This is an important part of the Paleo Diet, and shouldn’t be skipped. Getting your daily dose of carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals are just one of the benefits of eating breakfast.

Eat fish and seafood, as well as red meat. These are the main sources of protein in Paleo and should be a large part of your diet. Try to eat meats that are organic – you don’t want any wild-caught meats from around the world, do you?

Of course, there are plenty of delicious Paleo recipes that you can make from the wide variety of foods that you can eat. Some foods that you should eat to make the Paleo Diet healthy include carrots, potatoes, squash, avocados, apples, peas, lentils, and dairy products like yogurt and cheese. Don’t forget that it’s important to stay away from refined sugar, alcohol, and caffeinated drinks.
